About
Why KeyGenerators exists and the principles behind it: local generation, honest numbers, standard formats and no accounts.
Why this site exists
Developers, administrators and everyday users need random values all the time: a password for a new account, a JWT secret for a side project, a WiFi password for the guest network, an SSH key for a new laptop. The job is usually quick, but the result has to be right. Weak and reused secrets are among the most common ways systems get broken into.
KeyGenerators puts more than 50 focused generators in one place, each with sensible defaults, the options people actually need, terminal equivalents and plain advice on using the result safely.
Principles
- Local only. Everything is generated in your browser. There is no server-side generation, no logging and no history of values.
- Honest numbers. Every generator shows the real entropy of what it produces. Strength is never inflated to make a tool look better.
- No accounts. Every tool works without signing up, and there is no premium tier.
- Standard formats. Keys come out in the formats your tools expect, from OpenSSH files to PEM, JWK and .env lines.
